Dropping things!

I have dropped many objects for years and was tested for MS. I know my SLE has a lot to do with my coordination. I also, know that MS is at my back door but I stay strong and encouraged

Hi!, I think we all go through this-smile. Lupus has a way of doing some crazy things with us that don’t usually happens. Please remember it is okay, Beverly L.

I thought I was the only clumsy one in the bunch! I have trouble with that for a long time now. It seems that if I'm holding something and my attention is pulled to something else, my hand forgets it's holding it and it will let it go. Thankfully it doesn't happen all the time because I try to concentrate on my holding the item, especially if it's a glass or hot liquid but it does happen a lot more than I would like. I go back to my Rheumy on 10/15 and will definitely mention it to her as well. Never thought before it might be a symptom of something. :(

I really liked the way you described it - "It seems that if I'm holding something and my attention is pulled to something else, my hand forgets it's holding it and it will let it go." - that's exactly what mine is like, but I don't think I could have described it properly. I'm stealing your description! Thanks!

I do that too. It was worse when my Raynaulds was acting up. Now my joints in my hands are stiff and when I think I am applying enough pressure to pick up something, I end up dropping it.
