ok everyone I experienced something today very strange! I finally gathered up the strength to bring my daughter to ride her little 4 wheeler on the road in front of our house. She was riding ahead of me and I was walking when I decided to grab my phone to look to see if I had any missed calls or texts. When I finally looked up I realized I was not walking in a straight line despite my efforts. I remember telling myself to stop heading toward the ditch and walk straight. I was telling my brain to signal my body to walk straight, and I could not. I mean I literally kept walking sideways towards the ditch, I came severely close of walking straight into the ditch. So finally something clicked, I was able to straighten out. We got to our house and as we were trying to walk in I kept running Into my 5 year old daughter. I almost knocked her down twice. All I could keep saying over and over is " I don't feel right, something is wrong. When we were in the house I couldn't hold nothing, every time I would pick something up I would drop it. Everything seemed uneven or unbalanced. It was like I didn't have hand eye coordination at all. Things just was weird. Has anyone else out there experienced anything like this? If so , what in the world causes it. It freaked me out! A couple other times a while back I was sitting on my bed and when I would look up toward the TV it would literally seem like the room was splitting in half and slowly scrambling up. I've been dizzy an awful lot before but these experiences was way more extreme than just being dizzy. Please help if u have any info on this! I'm kind of scared! also I want to add both my legs are severely sore like ive ran a marathon. And since that happened earlier ive been really really week.
Unable to be of assistance. Wishing you well though. I hope you get some answers quickly. Kaz
I got lupus when I was 25, I'm 46 now. The first yr. was a complete nightmare. I rarely even talk about some of the crazy problems I had because they sound crazy. But, I did experience them. If I would tilt my head up towards the ceiling, I would get weak from head to toe, get a low grade fever, and ache all over my body. I called them "attacks". My husband at the time, witnessed these. Also, my blood pressure would drop way low. I would feel completely weirded out. I truly can't explain these attacks. But, I was so ill at the time. I know that it was not a "mental" thing. The blood pressure drop, and the fever proved that. I feel for you. My physician could not help me with this symptom. I must say that after a yr. these episodes got less and less.
have you had that checked that out with a neurologist

You might have had a TIA. You should see your doctor to find out. Tell him about these symptoms. I hope you get an answer quickly. I know we have some seemingly unexplainable things happen to us, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry, especially with the symptoms you’ve described.
Better have a doctor check you. It’s better you know what’s going on than be left out in the dark and experiencing all these discomforts.
I have been experiencing the same thing and I'm making a doctors appointment with my MD to see what's going on. At first I didn't think anything of it, but now it's getting worse and it sure doesn't feel good and yes it is very scary. As soon as I find out something I will be glad to share it with you. As I was reading about my Sjogren it stated something about my ears and I have been having ear problems for a while now, so maybe that's it and we can do something about it. Hope you find out what's going on and when you do please share............Good Luck!

Thanks Ruby, I find a little comfort in knowing that it might not always be this bad. Ive just made year one with it, well one year since I went to the dr for symptoms. I had had symptoms for a few years before but didn't put them all together I just contributed them to stress and depression and things like that. These weird things do make a person feel crazy. I feel sometimes that when I tell my husband about things that he thinks im making them up cause they sound so off the wall.He is a good man and does support me a little but I think if he would research this disease it would help. If it would be me an it was him with it I would research an read as much info as I can. He want! So the only facts he knows is what ive told him an tried to get him to listen while ive read them out loud to him out of books, but its like he isn't really paying attention.

No freightliner I haven't, that's actually why I posted cause I wasn't sure what to do. from ur question I gather I should see my neurosurgeon about this instead of the rheumy! Thank you for taking the time to reply back to me on this. im very scared!

Hi Monique,
I agree that you need to see a neurologist, I think you should have gone the day it happened. I think you should take this seriously!
Wishing you well,
SK
Hi I have the same issue. It also could be from your ears or high blood pressure if you had a cold your ears throw off your equilibrium and makes you dizzy also vertigo. The drs. Always tell me to wear earplugs.Hope you feel better!
Hi Monique,
A TIA is a 'trans ischemic attack' - a brief interruption of blood flow to a part of your brain. That's not to say you had that. But the advice is to seek MD counsel especially if you have it on an on-going basis..
It could be many things, the past couple of years I've had occas. vertigo attacks- one was so bad, they took me to the ER. It just happened out of the blue, everything went spinning around me and I fell to the floor and couldn't get myself up. The docs couldn't find any reason for it, but pumped me with IV fluids to rule out hypotension. The symptom lasted a couple of days then it was gone. I have felt minor versions of this at occasions, but never that bad as the first one. I also have a history of seizures- brought on by the lupus, so the docs were afraid I had a stroke also and wanted to rule out, but that was ok.
I wish you good luck. I've been fighting lupus for 30+ years and never ceases to amaze me what new symptoms will crop up. I am currently going through Rituxan therapy for severe thrombocytopenia. Not fun. I find comfort in knowing I'm not alone in this fight and I'm not going crazy.

Monique here is a link explaining TIA’s. Please read it, so you’ll be better informed.

Hi , That does sound like your equilibrium is a bit off ( which my doctor says happens time to time) , and it is the truth . I find myself at those moments on the sofa or in the bed for that day . He says it pass , but it's funny / scarey to feel out of control of your own body , sometimes i fall , or like you - go through the day dropping thing out of my hands . It make me feel like i don't belong sometimes then i get mad with myself - but i do find the time to laugh about it , hope that this pass for you ... Beverly L.
Moniquecrader,
Where you having a headache? Doesn't really matter... I would without a doubt, go to the ER and demand and MRI. I have had Lupus for years (according to the docs) but was just recently diagnosed. The only time I did any thing like that was after a Superbowl party...that part of which I will really miss this year. The only time I had symptoms like that was when I was having a TIA. Not that that is what it is, but there is vascular (stuff) that goes along with Lupus. Having MRI and CT myself Fri.
Wishing you good health,
DeAnne
The only thing that I can think of is the Sun exposure. I know that I have to cover myself up from head to toe in order to go out side when the sun is high. I get Sun sickness, I get weak, dizzy and have a hard time standing up and must go inside asap and lay down for a while. The sun may be a trigger for you and it also makes my muscles sore and they trimble sometimes down to my bones. I have to take a pain med and drink lots of water and just quiet down myself by myself. Talk to your Dr. ask to be tested for what could be some of your triggers.
Do you ever have migraine like headaches, neck pain that radiates down to shoulders and middle of back? Do you have lower back pain?
yes purplefav, I do get migraine! I don't get em everyday though but when I do get em they r bad. And I always have neck pain an a real tight tense neck. My mid to lower back keeps me in severe pain! oh and u know what the pain, tightness, and tense feeling does seem to radiate to my shoulders! Do u experience this also?
