Skin related question

Hello,

I currently have a single red spot on the outer area of my breast. It started it out last week as being red with a small clear blister in the center, about the size of a pencil eraser. As of today it is slightly raised, still the size of a pencil eraser and the entire circle is red; however, if you put slight pressure on it you can see that the clear blister is still there but it is flat and spread out more. It does not itch so that is what leads me to believe it is NOT a spider bite, mosquito bite or bug bite. I'm going to try to attach a picture. Most everything I read about lupus rashes/ulcers/lesion shows many more than just one spot so I'm not sure if this could be lupus related or not. I have not been diagnosed with a specific disease yet; however, it has been narrowed down to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Scleroderma or Ankylosis Spondylitis.

Has anyone had a single ulcer/lesion that has been diagnosed as having been related to Lupus?

Thank you!

Jen

if you've only the one it could be irritation from a bra or swimsuit or dry skin. If you're worried maybe see a dermatologist, I have lupus skin lesions if it is that you'll need a good derm to treat it, but It doesn't look like anything I've seen then again lupus is always full of surprises. hope you get answers soon.

Thank you, Hopeful. I've been trying to determine if I want to make an appointment or not with my dermatologist. I hate trying to get in to be seen for something like this because you never know if it's going to be there in 2-3 days or whenever I can get in for an appointment.

Thanks again!

Jen, I would check for Shingles. That is how my Shingles presented, with one spot similar to what you described and then more to follow.

good point didn't even think of that definetly need to get it checked out you do not want shingles.

I would make an appointment.

I was told shingles were very painful. This is not painful at all. It doesn't even itch. I sent a pic of it to my rheumatologist today and the details and here is the response I received from him, "The skin lesion is very non-specific. If it was painful and broke down, it would be more compatible with an autoimmune process."

No, I have many many spots on arms and legs and 3 on my face. One is really strange looking just had a biopsy.

I get a few on both breasts and they are very very itchy, but i HAVE a big can full of salves(all prescriptions). I feel lke walking

medicine cabinet.

I have one that’s almost identical. I’ve had it for a couple of months. When it first showed up it was an infection. I went on antibiotics and the infection went away but the lesion is still there. I’m going to have it check again by my dr and see what she thinks.

Maybe you should send it to your dermo. Mine dermo is the dr that biopsyed me to prove I had SLE.

You would know if it was the shingles. They are EXTREMELY PAINFUL. I had them on my face about 9 years ago.

It could also be Lyme’s’ disease, which manifests as a red circle with a whiter outline. See your doctor!

I have had a single dot but usually it will manifest into many. Watch it and take notes on size, inflammation and if mor crop up. Pictures are good, take them in good lighting maybe have a friend or partner help take then. I get them on my chest, breast and arms. Ultimately discuss with your rhumey.
