Hi everyone! I started methotrexate on Thursday. I realized that means the week of thanksgiving I’ll be taking my dose on Thanskgivng. Can I push my dose to the next day instead and take it on Friday? Is that safe to do? Just push it back one day?

I have been taking that for a while (two & a half years or so) ...I have did that & did not feel different one way or the other...It did not make me feel sick or bad...but thats been my experience...:-D

Hi! Why do you want to move it a day? I took Methotrexate (pill form) for a while and it did nothing. Then I did Methotrexate injections and it did work! Good luck!
I want to move it from my usual Thursday to Friday so I’m not taking it on Thanksgiving and feeling yucky.
I took mine on Fridays, in case I had a reaction, the weekends were upon me and I could rest and not miss work. I didn't have any problems from the medicine. You could ask your doctor or just take on Fridays from here on out. :-) Enjoy Thanksgiving!
I used to take methotrexate weekly ( 6 pills on one day ), it would make me very sick the next day...I have moved it back one day if there was a special occasion or event that I didn't want to feel yucky...I think it will be okay.
I am currently in remission for RA and I was on Methotrexate, I switched from pills to sub-q. I took it at night and slept the worst of it off. I felt rather crapy the next day, but I guess it effects others differently. I didn't have any problems switching days, as it stays in your system.
moving one day shouldnt effect you badly. I take mine before I go to bed to sleep off the worst of it but the next day food is a no go. good luck honey
