I misplaced my methotrexate and wasn’t able to take my Friday night dose. I’m going to call my rheumatologist today to see if he can call in a new prescription. However, I hope it’s not too expensive as my insurance company won’t pay for the same Rx twice in the same month. I’ve felt off, for lack of a better word. Tired and in pain, the norm, but also a bit flu-like.
It is never wise to suddenly stop treatment as it can lead to a violent flare which then may be difficult to get back under control.
I hope to get the Rx refilled today. I definitely can’t afford a major flare.
I only took my dose once a week. You should be ok. The anxiety might be causing the symptoms. Call the pharmacist and see if they’ll give you a dose since it’s not a controlled substance. They’ve done that for me before if I’ve accidentally lost a medication while on vacation or something.
Okay. Good idea.
Sometimes the pharmacy will give an emergency supply. Good luck
I was able to get the refill on my Rx but had to pay out of pocket. It wasn’t too much, thankfully. I took my meds last night, so, only three days late. I still don’t feel well. This isn’t seventh week on methotrexate.
