Everytime I start feeling better, I find a new pain. On Friday night, I got in the car with my husband. When we stopped and I started to get out my right knee hurt so bad, I had trouble walking. I sort of worked it out, and it got better as the evening progressed. Now, each morning before I even get out of bed, both of my knees are extremely stiff and sore.
Monday, I lifted a box at work and discovered it was heavier than I should have tried to lift. But I was up in the air on a lift, and I got it anyway. I discovered it was about 50lbs. I should have reported it work, and let them send me to a doctor since they are fighting my doctor's appointments : )
You sound like me! My knees give me troubles off and on and I think I can take on the world and then lupus reminds me I can’t. You will learn to limit your abilities sooner I hope rather then later! With regards to work fighting your doctors appointment, I too understand that frustration. Before I stopped working I took a bad fall and had to have surgery on my right shoulder. I busted my butt in rehab to get back to work full duty only for them to fire me! So please think twice about reporting. Life is not fair with this diease!
I am sorry to hear this is happening now and regarding work you need to watch what weight your lifting.
Trisha it comes off the lupus/SLE when a flare maybe occuring, i've started having it where my toes crack and ankles give off some pain but any form of arthritis in the system besides can cause these issues and usually with your knee's they start swelling also.
These links below is about knee pain and soreness with Lupus
Hi everyone, and thanks. Yes, my husband txt me and told me to take it easy. I hurt my hand again yesterday, so I know its just the lupus, not a break. The weather has turned colder here, and I noticed my fingertips were bluish yesterday morning and showed a co-worker and she said my God, your hands are cold as ice.
I do think the weather change has something to do with this. I need to get some warmer house shoes to protect my toes from the chill and the sharp bite of puppy teeth : 0
Your welcome mate from us all as you know and do what your hubby says as well...i said it was the Lupus and issues hit you more when it's abit more active...plus your raynauds is setting in more now with the colder weather but you know the saying "Cold hands warm heart"...bless you mate, mind you it's freezing here and my hands are like ice and i don't know if your the same but i've definitely noticed that each year which goes by the raynauds gets worse and we get colder even quicker.
Leave the pup out of this...she's only teething mom.lol
I definitely think I feel the cold more each year. I've never noticed my fingers getting blue this early before. Its possible that I saw it before and just thought it was ink or something? I don't know.
I'm not sure why my feet are her favorite chew toy??? LOL
I know exactly how you feel! You hit it right on the head - where did that pain come from? You need to be very careful and not let work do that to you! Why are they fighting the appointments?
I have been struggling for over a year trying to find out where my foot pain came from, and I've been to doctor to doctor. They say I'm "abusing the system" and taking off work too much. I work 9 to 5, and its impossible to go to specialist outside of that time. I requested to talk with HR today, so please pray for me. Its time for me to tell them I'm disabled. I'm nervous about it, but its the right time. I'll post the outcome on my blog : )
Thank you mate because i definitely do but i noticed even when we had hot days i'd have moments of going cold, it's horrible.
Trisha your darling pup is testing you now at an early age and she needs stopping before she starts to try and rule the roost besides trying to over rule your other dog also. lol

Lovely to hear off you and i don't blame you for resting when you've been on all day and it's nice when you have an hubby like you have who understands well...it's still like talking to a young person when i look at your avatar everytime if pops up.
When you joined i showed ste and asked him how old do you think that person looks and he said early 20s...your doing well on it...nice one.
