Does anyone else have this? Lupus?
Yes! I was told it's Restless Leg Syndrome. I don't know if it's related to Lupus, though. I would love to find out.
Just a quick followup to my previous comment. Check out this website: http://www.rlcure.com/linked.html
I was feeling the same thing, but now that I'm on Lyrica for fibro, it has stopped. Just my two cents
Ahhh .. so maybe it is connected somehow ... We shall see :)

Did Lyrica seem to make you a little "off"? I have tried it once - only to see if I could sleep (three nights ago) because I have such such shooting leg pain/spasms at night, it keeps me awake. The doc told me to take it two hours before bedtime ... 8 hours later, I finally collapsed, but that was after becoming super agitated, did not help pain, caused dizziness .... maybe it has to sink into your system or something? Let me know your thoughts on this. I decided no way .. but the sleep was GREAT once it got to that point. :)

Also, I have severe panic attacks and take Clonazepam and Zoloft to control them... With the Lyrica, after I awoke, it felt like I did not need them ... ?? Does it have the same effect on you?

I'm sorry you had such an intense reaction to Lyrica. Right now I'm taking the lowest dose which is 75mg a pill. I take 2 pills at night. For me, it doesn't even put me to sleep. I was hoping it would since I have such a hard time falling asleep. I still have to take Melatonin. Anyway I haven't had any of the reactions you spoke about. I'd talk to the dr. about that reaction; I'm sure you don't want to repeat that.

I am not sure if it is lupus but I have them too. They got better after I started taking a muscle relaxer. But they are always worse when I overdo it. I have them in my arms too but not nearly as bad as my legs. It would make sense if it was related to lupus since lupus affects the connective tissue. Maybe the tissue is contracting, thus causing tthe spasms? Who knows? I wish I did and I wish I knew how to fix it.
I have this at night was given requip for restless leg after a sleep study and flexiril.
There seem to be quite a few of us with this Purple ... is it part of Lupus somehow or something else entirely - maybe by itself? Your thoughts?
My nero dr said most of the lupus patients she sees have restless leg. I will look it up in a bit and see if anyone has posted a link about it.
My doctor told me that it was related, because of blood flow
