Meloxicam

doc gave me meloxicam for inflammation wondered if anybody had any problems with it, only thing i can think of that has been added to the five hundred pills i take, my mouth is dry since taking this i can hardly swollow or even talk sometimes, cant even finish a short sentence with out having to swollow to talk, anybody know what to do i am constantly drinking water but no relief.

Kel,

Maybe you should discuss this with your pharmacist and see if its from from the combination of your meds? I've taken meloxicam for over a year with no problems, but we're all different.

I've taken Meloxicam for a few years now...but have no significant issues with it. I'd talk to my pharmacist about it. He may have insight on the combination of meds...or he may know of a product that will relieve this for you. Good luck.

I’ve also taken Meloxicam for over a year. Haven’t had any noticeable side effects. I would also suggest checking with your pharmacist. What your describing also sounds a bit like symptoms of Sjögren’s syndrome so if the pharmacist has nothing to go on, definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I’m taking Meloxicam right now, I’ve been talking it for about a month. I haven’t noticed any significant changes. I’d call the dr to see what you can do about the dry mouth. I have that also, but I had it even before the Meloxicam. Hopefully, they can do something to give you some relief.

I also took that and I had issues with it and stopped taking it. Gave me dry mouth and stomach pains. Naproxen may work better for you instead.

ya, i get retested for sjogrens next month and i think that is what it is i am still taking meloxicam and those symptoms suddenly disappeared

I took meloxicam but it didn’t really help and my rheumy switched me to Celebrex which has helped a lot. I agree though maybe get retested for sjogrens. Either way don’t be afraid to call doc and tell them what’s happening…they may not always act like it but it is what they are there for!!! Good luck
