Knuckles and wrists are in so much pain! Only half way through work I can do this with no tears! I think I can I think I can I know I can
Hi, Beck. I hope you’re feeling better today…
Hugs.
I'm praying for you! I don't know if you've already tried this, but usually when my hands start to ache I've found that putting them on ice for a little while usually helps, and I've also heard that putting heat on them helps too, although I haven't tried it. Also, when my hands hurt I try to relax them as much as possible. If I'm in class and I'm taking notes, I make sure when I'm not writing something down, I'm not holding anything so I can give my hands a break. I hope you're feeling better.
Never tried ice but i do heat, just hard to do at work
There are some hand warmers that you can get to carry in your pocket. We used them a lot when cross country skiing. You just squeeze and they stay warm for at least an hour in sub zero weather. Not really expensive.
Awww, Becky, that hurts so much! I am not sure if you are experiencing arthritic type pain or the pain that also hits under the thumb, but there are gloves especially designed for people with arthritis:

and if you want them, I would think they would be available at a drug store, grocery mart or else on line. I have no idea if they would help or not. I find that the aid things can provide some limited relief. Here is a link for anyone experiencing that type of pain. This one does help: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Thumb-Stabilizer/14237860The other thing, if you have pain under the thumb, there are splint types of things.
In the meantime, I hope your hands are feeling better today. It's awful that you have to work with your hands.when they hurt!
Maybe soaking them with some Epsom salts would help. I also find that ICE helps my horrible pain. Makes it a bit more manageable.
Take care and hugs to you!
Jill
I have 3 different gloves I use depending on how they hurt. They help most of the time. I think they hurt the more I use them. I’m in the process of getting a new job that doesn’t require as much use. It’s a long process and I’m worried how to deal with telling new job about my lupus, and how it will affect it
