i don’t want to sound like a broken record, but i had horrible stomach problems and internal bleeding. the gi doc told me to stop eating dairy. (Gluten also a problem for me.) I did stop and stomach problems absolutely gone–no pain, no bleeding. But if I cheat a have the foods, the pain comes right back.
Thanks Janice, I gave up dairy but problems still persist. I really think it may be the lapband, thank goodness its coming out soon.
Its so nice to see someone from my neck of the woods. I live in Albuquerque just a few hours from you.

Thank you Deb. I actually have heard Gastroparesis mentioned, but it was during my first round with Lupus - ages ago and I had totally forgotten! It seems that there are just endless 'secondary' issues that come and go - difficult to keep track...;).
I'm going to message you here in a bit to talk more about it. Thank you for the support! I've really needed to identify with someone else having this particular issue.

Hi Fairykissez,
I have GERD and IBS, plus had my gallbladder out in addition to the Lupus and Sjogrens. Zantac works well for heart burn type pain. Where is the stomach pain? When i had gallstones the pain felt like at the bottom of my ribs in the middle- like the stomach, I would get bad heartburn and nausea. I also read that the sjogrens causes stomach problems becuase your glands don't make enough saliva etc and so food does not digest properly. Another problem could be the meds- some can cause ulcers and the plaquinil is making my stomach hurt. I would try the zantac- if that works you will know it is a problem in your stomach (if it is an ulcer it will help). If it does not work then it could be gallbladder or intestine. For IBS take lots of probiotics and fiber and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Like you say it could be from that lap band- I don't have any experience with that.
Hope your tummy feels better soon.
Meg
