Stomach problems Arthrotec and Plaquinil

Hi Everyone,

I recently started taking Arthrotec (3xdaily) and I am having severe digestive issues (both ends). I have also been taking Plaquinil for just over a month. I am taking the arthrotec for costochondritis- it is really bad right now and sometimes hard to breath. The arthrotec is taking away some of the swelling from the costochondritis but I can't keep taking it if it is causing all these stomach problems. I have tried naproxin and advil - they take some swelling/pain away but they gave me stomach ulcers.

Any advice?

I take Zantac 150mg (over the counter) with my Arthrotec… Works well for me. Check with your pharmacist though to make sure it will work with your other meds.
