A Book Recommendation

Hi,

I want to let everyone know about a book that my pain management doctor recently advised me to read. It's called 'The Healing Code' by Dermot O'Connor.

The author struggled with a very serious illness and was able to cure himself. He gives specific mental exercises to change your thoughts to positive (if you are somewhat of a pessimist like myself). There is so much else I can't go into it all, but basically there is a mental component to healing; an Eastern-based type of physical exercise; diet; tips on how to develop an aversion to something you know is bad for you, and more. For me, the diet is extreme, and may not be appropriate for everyone with our condition. But I figure if I can do 1/2 the stuff in the book then it's got to help.

Sorry I've been away for a while. I was on vacation in the Rockies, and now I need to rest......

This sounds like a good read, Nicole. I agree, if you can take something good from this then your life can certainly improve. I feel that the self education of our ailments, especially the pain related ones, gives us an advantage over those who are less interested.

I know that there are those who do not care to know much, they just want the pill from the Doc, and that is all, I have never been wired that way.

The Rockies are beautiful, I haven't seen them for a while now, I am glad that you were able to go!

Thanks for the info!
