This is new… If I stand up too quickly, I feel dizzy and then my arms and hands start twitching and jerking. It only last for a brief period of time, but still very scary. It happened about 6 times in the last 2 months. Is anyone else going through this???
You could be experiencing a drop in blood pressure from standing up too quickly. I forget the name of it but I have a form of it called Dysautonomia. Could also be POTS. Talk to your doc. Try getting up more slowly and/ or sitting back down when it happens.
In my first acute flare up over 10+ yrs ago, my right leg jerked every half minute or less - didn't matter what I did - laying down, sitting up - it was when I was still. I also felt like I was falling to my left side when I was sitting (when I wasn't) - right now I have twitching in my fingers. They never figured out what caused it but 60mg of prednisone (over 6 months) got rid of the movement disorder back then. I don't know much about lupus and its correlation with movement disorder.
I have jerking when I lay down to sleep my whole body just jerks. Very annoying.
