I'm just curious if anyone has gotten tattooed with lupus while not in remission? I've been playing around with the idea of getting another one but dont want to go into a full flown awful flare up or have some sort of medical blah happen to me. i know there is the risk of infection i go to the same place they are clean and sterile and i trust them i watch them take the needles out all of that. This isnt my first tattoo. Just curious.

I've got two Tattoo's and my last one was done 9yrs back while having Lupus..my sister who as Lupus also as 7 and had her last one done up her hand and arm last year and hers was ok.
You should be ok if the place is really 100% clean and the needles are new, i know what does affect my Tattoo's is jab's in them for my b12 etc as my Tattoo's swell up.
Just make sure it's kept clean because of infection...that's your main issue and the link below may also help....go for it girl as i love them.lol

I have one on the side of my neck and one on my left arm. I went to a place I know is safe. Never had any issues with getting either one.
