Has anyone found an inexpensive way to to buy the sun protective clothing? I can't afford 60 to 80 dollars for one hoodie on my disability check.
There is a product called SunGuard that you wash your own clothes in that makes them more sun protective. I have found that they only sell it at Super Wal-Marts in California, Florida & Arizona. It's only cost about $2.80 a box and once clothes are washed in it, its suppose to last for 20 more washings.
You can also buy it on-line, but it cost a little more.
Here is the link to the site. https://sunguardsunprotection.com/
Is that the one made by Rit Dye? I’ve used it with great success. Works great on children’s clothing too!
I also found that I felt really ill every time I was in the car for any length of time. And I realized that I was just bathing in sunlight, so we had the windows tinted on our cars and now riding in the car isnt a hazard. Our state has a provision to allow extra dark tinting for those with medical issues. I think most states do.
Thanks for all the input. 2 questions, are there tinting for car windows that you can apply yourself? Like a press on kind? And where do you find a very light weight hoodie to use with the wash in sun protection? If I even start to get hot my skin and scalp hurt so bad, then I feel weak and sick. You all are great to help me this way. Sorry for so many questions at once.:)
I bought a couple of shirts at Walmart.
