I am sure that this topic has probably been covered before but I really need to ask. Has anyone dealt with tinglining and numbness in their arms and legs. This last weekend I was standing in the kitchen and my legs started tingling. When I went to take a step, my right leg was completely numb from the knee down and I almost fell. The sensation continued all weekend and scared me to the point I would not even drive for fear that something might happen since I could not feel my hands and feet. I contacted my doctor and he does not think it is lupus related. Anyone have similar experiences or ideas what this might be?
I suffer from tingles and numbness all the time.. I'm not sure what it is but I think it may be Raynauds (sp??).. Not sure tho but my leg or feet will go numb in a second, especially when I've been sitting in the same spot for a while... I just get up, shake it off (very awkward feeling) and try to continue on..
Thank you for the reply. I have had tingling before but the numbness was new. When I contacted my doctor he did not feel it was related to the lupus, but was afraid it could possibly be something else and asked me to come in as soon as possible. I did just have a hysterectomy two weeks ago and he implied it could be from the surgery, like I lost two much blood or my blood pressure is messed up. I thought I had read somewhere that this sensation could be lupus related, which is why I asked if anyone else has had the same symptoms.

I also have numbness in my right leg down to my baby toe. I had a cat scan and it is damaged nerves in my lumbar and it is constant and I walk with a limp and have to see a nerve specialist. It drives me nuts! I still drive though.
i was told by my rumy that lupus does cause neuropathy,i have raynauds,my feet and hands only tingle after they turn white, its when the blood starts flowing again but not to much numbness.good luck, hope u get some answers
Yes I have neuropathy in arms and legs. Raynauds also. I found that vitamin b complex over the counter has helped a lot. Check your vitamin b blood levels. I don’t have problems driving with it.
One thing that I have noticed over the last few weeks that have gone along with the tingling and numbness is a lot of back pain. I have a kidney disease and for a long time attributed the back pain to the disease but now the pain is in a different place. It almost feels like I have constant pulled muscles in my lower back and at times it can be extremely uncomfortable. Over the last few days the pain is radiating down into my hips and is a different pain than I usually experience in the hip area. I am sure that my doctor is going to refer me to a different physician but I will not know for sure until I see him tomorrow morning.
That is what happened to me this weekend. I was on a long drive with my wife and roommate and my arm, hand, leg and foot went numb on the right side. I could not feel the pedal and it scared me. I pulled over and let my roommate drive the rest of the way there and home.
I have neuropathy too and rheumatologist just upped my gabapentin from 100 mg 2/day to 300 mg 2x/day. It does seek to be easing the sensations more. I have X-rays and CT scan Monday.
what kind of vitamin?

I don’t have to much of the tingly/numbness but I do have loss of feeling. If I do to much my right side goes out. I guess numb/weak and can’t move it or use it. It’s like my right sides there but it’s not. I have trained myself to be left handed. I will usually be in my wheel chair for several days. I have lost sensation on my right side. They can poke and stab me and I don’t feel anything but a little pressure. It’s really weird. My neurologist said, it’s just part of the lupus. I haven’t driven In over a yr. Do to seizures and my right side.
