I have a splinter hemorrhage in my pinkie nail and little purple dots on leg, stomach and the inside of my cheek. Is it serious enough to request an earlier appointment with my Dr. or can it wait till next appointment?
I get the little purple dots from allergies all the time. They usually clear up if I take some Zyrtec
This could be a blood clotting condition (it was for me. I was on Coumadin for a year as a result). Take pix. Call doc. See what he/she says
Don’t take a chance. Call your doctor
I have those too
On my upper legs, arms and chest. I have always thought it might be vascolotis or how ever that’s spelled. It is blood spots on top of my skin. But no one helps I hate it it is very bad and ugly

Hi,
I have similar symptoms and am fairly new to lupus. I have two horizontal black lines on two different finger nails, and have some black spots under my toe nails, I also have had some spots in my mouth. I also have them on my stomach and legs. Showed the ones on my stomach to my rheumy when I was diagnosed in April but she said she didnt know what they were. On my arms I have developed a whole bunch of spots but they more like moles, just a different color than my normal moles, a little darker. If you find anything out please let us know. I have my next appt with rheum in about two weeks and I will talk to her then. I was wondering vasculitis or blood issue? If I find anything out at my appt I will pass the info along.
Good luck and take care,
Stacey
Call your dr. to see if he/she thinks you need to be seen.
Hi Stacy.....I definitely keep a eye on it ...there can be so many things...I got ITP it is a Platelet problem and a very serious one..I would call my Dr. and tell him what was going on and see if you should come in sooner....good luck sweetheart....
Hi Stacy,
I personally am Not an alarmist… Your symptoms are just typical of one of the 50 plus little things that pop up w/ Lupus. I personally would be calling my doc every day if it were for a new/different symptom. Keep notes. Simple journal to share at next visit.
I called my Dr. on my lunch break, left a msg with his receptionists. Described my symptoms to her to pass on to the Dr. She called be back about an hour later and said the Dr. Needs to see me asap. Now I’m a nervous nelly. I’ll know more tomorrow afternoon. I see a blood draw in my future…
