Hi everyone.
I live in Ohio and I’m looking for a new rheumatologist.
I need someone to explain my blood work to me and explain things when something new pops up.
I don’t want my symptoms minimized.
Does anyone know any good doctors around the surrounding Columbus area?
I’m thinking about osu.
I feel like when I get there I need to interview them to see if they will work with me lol
I’m sorry can’t help you out with a doctor in the Ohio area, Christy, but from someone who has been seeing many different doctors in different specialties since the late 1970s … Wanted to give you a heads up ( a warning) that you do actually have to be prepared to interview and test out doctors. We need to establish that we will be in a long term relationship with them so like other primary relationships we must be comfortable with the fit. It should be a give and take, open and most of all honest coupling. It may take many trials to find the right one. Keep putting feelers out, do as much research as you can and most of all if you find yourself not comfortable with a particular MD, move on…and sometimes on again until you feel right about it. By all means don’t take the blame on yourself if it doesn’t work out. There are so many doctors that think they have all the answers and if you aren’t getting better its your fault. NOT TRUE! Especially as you will find as your diagnosis and symptoms become more familiar to you, it is a crazy dis-ease that is so hard to pinpoint. There are great doctors out there who are becoming more dedicated to helping those of us afflicted with it and other autoimmune disorders, it just might take some times to find one. Keep strong, and stay true to yourself.
Love & Peace,
~Mare
