New Doctor after almost 2 years

Hello to all,
After 2 years living in south Carolina I have finally found a rumy that I will be seeing in two weeks. I am so stressed out right now… I have a very long medical history, I have a great family doctor, heart doctor. Now I hope I get a good rumy. I know I am getting worse and I am scared. I need help. Since the last time I was at a Rheumatologist I now have nodules in all my joints, my elbows ,wrist, ankles , knees are locked up in the morning a it takes several about 4or5 before I can move tthem. I can not go in the sun at all, I get blisters on my skin then I feel like I have the flu, I get a fever and all. I don’t sleep very well my husband has to carry me to bathroom ddue to locked up joints. I have a rash all over my body that comes and goes. I also have start getting the butterfly rash on my face. Alll this has came about in the past two years what is happening to me?

Being new to this whole fun disorder I can't tell you anything about what is happening. You have a wonderful husband that is helping you out and that is something to be very thankful for. I want to just let you know that I am praying for you.

It’s just disease progression. It will come and go. I’m not being dismissive of your pain, trust me. I’ve been carried to the potty myself a few times. Once you’re properly medicated, it just happens less often. Sorry, I wish I had better news. You just learn to do everything differently to get through your days.

are you taking any meds?

Yes, that is exactly what I was going to ask! It sounds like your medications may need some adjustments. Hopefully your new rheumy will get you feeling better quickly and help slow down the progression of your disease. I just wish your appointment was sooner!

Cheers to your husband for helping you. It's refreshing to hear that there is a good part to your story because it sounds like you are really having a hard time.

Best of luck and keep us posted on your appointment.

I hope the new doctor can get rid of rthe nodules. I react strongly enough to the sun that I just go to and from my car. I run a fever for 3 days and can barely move around after about 1/2 hour of sun. I don’t know anything about the nodules, but it sounds super challenging. Let us know what the doc says about that.

sorry to hear your going though so much but remember they Dx you with lupus but don't let it win. Im praying that this Dr. is the right fit for you and bless your husband for all that he do to help you. Keep fighting be blessed godsgirl66
