When asked about her condition, one member consistently responds:
"I have had a difficult journey but have become such a kinder, wiser person in the process."
Which reaffirms: Yes, it is possible to take out something positive from our conditions, including our illnesses and experiences!
How about you? What life lessons have you learned from having your illness? It may be a struggle, but has it helped you develop certain qualities that make your life (and those around you) more meaningful?
I've learned to listen to my body. Doctors would always brush me off and say I was fine, but I continued to listen to my body and push for answers. Not only that, but when it comes to listening to when I need to rest, use heat, stress relief, etc. I used to just plow through things and ignore the signals my body would send, but now I know better.
Yes, indeed, Ballerina8876! The discipline performance artists have tend to push their body to the limit, until it tells them: "Hey!"

Tell me about it and my neuro or rheumo had better get ready for years i've took seizures meds and lastnight found out they cause Ataxia so i want testing, as i have symptoms it causes and i keep putting it down to my muscle atrophy and seizures.
I still believe there's hidden issues about myself :)

Isn't it wonderful how our conditions become eye openers, Tez_20?
