Hello all and happy Sunday
Just wanted to share it with you something new that I came across sence been diagnost .
Each time when I consume a food that reach in sodium like sushi or Thai food I beginning have problems with my joints ( numbness ,tingle and stiffness )
I guess even a little high amount of sodium can give trouble …Or it’s just coincidence ?
I've read that sodium causes problems. I try to stick to Himalayan sea salt myself, it tastes better and you don't need much. Other than that I am not a huge "salt" person.
Thank u. I will pay attention. And ironically I’m noticing a pattern with sugar and fatigue. last night I broke down and had a kinda big bowl of ice cream. I normally avoid sugar. I can barely move today. Very bad fatigue!!!
Soy will also cause me a lot of swelling and pain.
Thanks for that, Gak; there's not a lot left though is there?
Low Fat
Almost No sugar
Low Carb
Low salt
Are ice cubes O.K? (;-)
Sodium does the same thing to me. I try to keep it down. Chinese food is the worst!
Probably also MSG in the Chinese food, another thing to put on the avoid list.
Well if it’s salt. Msg is a meat tenderizer and enhances flavors.
Some of the last bit was lost-I get migraines from msg , and it is now possible to get canned soups and broth that are msg free. Chinese restaurants used to all use it, but. some now claim to be msg free. I can usually tell if it’s high salt because my feet will swell. Msg irritates a lot of people.
They have worked out a way of not directly putting MSG on the label, they have a lot of other names like “natural Flavors”. Must hav lobbied big time with FDA for this. If you google it, you can find the other alternative names to sneak it in.
I guess the high salt causes water retention and more swelling.
