As I sat and read the positive responses from everyone about how to handle the heat/sun and after a joking suggestion by Dragonfli, I got to thinking about the fact that we post pictures of the ugliness of this disease so why not post positive things about it. If you have a favorite hat that shields you from the sun take a picture and post it or use it as your picture on your page. My husband just jokingly told me he'd wear a hat for Lupus. Anyway it was just a thought let me know what you think about the idea.
Lol....I love the bedazzling idea and the glitter to if it keeps the sun off of you. The more individualized the hat I think the more it lets Lupus know that we are in control, so bedazzle, glitter and flower on.

I so glad you liked the idea, I began thinking of all kinds of possibilities for the hat idea and I owe it all to you. By the way where did draginfli come from....I only ask because I used to use dragonfly and teddybear as my signature because I am obsessed with dragonflies.

Great idea!! I saw a nice hat in the store today, but did not get it. I will take a photo of my standard 3 hats used for shielding the sun... Funny thing, I did not realize I am so reliant on hats, and this was a sign of Lupus. This is ironic, I am learning so much about illness and life choices.

I think it's a brill idead mate plus gives we all a boost besides...mine came from a sports shop for hikers.lol....i'll add a pic later, hopefully with it stuck on the dog for a laugh. xxx

Come any occassion, where certain things can be worn...face masks/hats etc he gets them, he even puts my baby bruno through it...goes up town in the £1 shops and gets outfits for 5yr olds to fit the dog.
