Gastritus

After a colonoscopy yesterday the Dr. Said that I had erythema of the stomach lining. He did biopsies. I was reading about possible causes and found autoimmune diseases, medication, alcohol and h pyloric virus as some of the main causes. Has anyone had this due to the inflammation of Lupus?
Thanks

Yes its fairly common, mine is caused by inflammation and vasculitis. I've had it for along time originally they thought the meds were causing it, but once the meds stopped the problems continued its just one of those things you learn to live with when you have lupus good luck to you

I have chronic and acute erosive gastritis of the upper stomach. . I don’t take prednisone and anti inflammatorys only once in a blue moon for my lungs so it was not drug induced. . This year lupus and my other autoimmune diseases hit my upper stomach and abdominal organs with serious inflammation. .now I have a non alcoholic fatty liver, bouts of pancreantits (pancreatic cyst), excruciating bile reflux and painfull gallstones that resulted in removal of my gallbladder:/ it all started with chronic nausea a year and 1/2 ago and snowballed !!good luck xo

I had this long before I had Lupus, and as long as I stay on a med like Prevacid, Prilosec, Nexium, etc. it stays controlled. Having Lupus and the Lupus meds have not made it any worse, thankfully!
