Hi DeAnne,
You made a good statement there to Robc....about things not really working and it's all truly a nightmare to cope with these issues.

I use biotene and it works. keep the spray form in my purse all of the time. Would be worth a try I think.
Oh bless you Ann for thinking of we sjogrens patients.
Coping is fun but also a dreadful situation i think at times...sjogren's is very high in maintenance and (Allergic) Ally will always say the same...the time in the bathroom is getting longer.
I've not been watching Downton Abbey instead Mr Selfridge.
Ann eclampsia is bad if you do have that and i can understand you crying plus thanks for crying for those who can't including myself :) xxx
Thanks just saw this....don't know how I missed it earlier...

Robc,
I, too, have those symptoms. Especially the nighttime. I make certain that just before bed I rinse with my mouthwash for dry mouth. It is the CVS brand comprable Biotene. It really does help. Many of our medications dry out our mouth. This has caused me to feel as is I can't swallow and that I am choking. As for it being a lupus symptom, I think there are enough of us that have that same difficulty that it should be classified if it not already. In other words, this is a common complaint, which is why so many of us know what Biotene is.
I would try the rinse, and if possible you may want to not take one optional medication before bed. I do this with my muscle relaxant as I know that it dries my mouth out during the day, so it is likely to dry out more during sleep. Sleep close to a humidifier if possible.
Best of luck,
DeAnne

Hello Ann,
Well how you've watch Downton Abbey and found it touching....i love these programmes but really where my books are concerned as i read then from the 1800's to 1950's and i have read some touching books.
Marvellous the issues they went through and still had a back bone of steel. :)
Hello Ann,
I love the history also through reading like i mentioned and our past but at the moment my eyes are playing up and i've only done 4 pages of my new book :(
We have quite a few programmes come on here like Downton Abbey done from the books i read :)
