I have had low blood pressure. I have not drank coffee in years for health reasons. A week ago I craved a Starbucks coffee. I was going to a class. Usually i am lethargic and have a difficult time participating within the class. This night with my coffee i was alert and able to share my thoughts. I have found recently coffee is helping my fatigue and foggy head. I drink about a 1/3 of a cup. That is all I seem to want at a time. I find this interesting in that I have read all the pros and cons of coffee. Has coffee or tea made a difference in your functioning??
I use to love and drink coffee. I had to quit about 4 years ago because of afib. So nothing caffeinated for me. Prior to the afib I did drink coffee and I really didn't notice a difference for me. Glad that it is helping you with your fatigue and brain fog.
Thanks for sharing this, and most definitely coffee has made a big difference in my functioning. I have learned to limit it, and drink more water, but I really enjoy a cup of coffee at around 2pm. After that, I will have a cup of decaf in the evening. This has really helped my sleep. If I have caffeine too late, I'm a restless sleeper. Without my 2pm cup of java - I don't make it through my evening - I'll be falling asleep before bed.
From what I have read, coffee is good for you as long as you don't drink too much. I have Hashimoto's and it was recommended that we drink coffee! I only drink 2 cups a day - in the morning only otherwise, I can't sleep at night!
Wow! Same here. Did not drink coffee until 4 years ago in a desperate attempt to get thru a busy day. Now I have one cup in mornings . Sometimes if I start feeling afternoon slump another cup will get me thru
