PASTA, MUSHROOMS AND MORE>>
I’m gluten free and diabetic. It’s going to be a creative thanksgiving for me! Turkey breasts. Homemade cranberry sauce. And sweet potatoes. Yum! And you’re not spending it alone. You have us.
My husband and I will be together on Thanksgiving day. In the lat week I have not been feeling the greatest. Lupus flare ups drains me. My tolerance being around people is high. Happy Thanksgiving, haven't been feeling the greates these last few days.
Michele, you are never alone. You know this. But isolation can take a toll on us. Because of work schedules and other struggles, my family will not be together for the holiday. No sense in me overdoing to create a huge dinner, am giving myself the day off, and intend to use it to be thankful, yet nourishing to my spirit more than anything. And when we really think about it, that's a great way to live every day, in gratitude.
love and hugs to you
Louise
Happy thanksgiving everyone! Have a wonderful week ahead!
Hi everyone:
We are having our 4 children 5 of our 9 grandchildren and both of our Greatgrandchildren. I having been preparing since Sunday a little at a time, you know how it goes. I want to do all the holidays as long as I can.
Noone is ever alone, we have each other.
Have a great holiday.
Cindy
DH and I will not be around family this Thanksgiving.....I'm feeling horrible and am not up to the family drama. Feels like I'm getting a sinus infection and just don't want to do anything right now. No need to make excuses..it is what it is. We will enjoy the day resting and not having to stress out.
Thanksgiving blessings to all!
Lori
I was going to host this year but reacted poorly to the rituxan infusion and had to cancel. My parents and siblings are eating out in San Francisco instead. Meanwhile I am making a small organic turkey for my kids and hubby. We’re keeping it very simple. Just got back from grocery shopping where I almost passed out. My lips and tongue went numb, it was very odd. Anyway, Chanukah starts the evening of Thanksgiving and so our day is going to be crazy. I’ll miss my parents n siblings but I won’t miss the craziness at all. Fortunately my mom understands since she battles RA. I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Yes we would have antipasta!! ours was more lighter fare than yours, olives, pepperoncini, salami, cece beans...stuff you might also put on your salads, if you chose. Oh the veggies in vinaigrette too! yummy!
Pasta always made it bit too much i thought but i did make homemade raviolis so i sometimes have those but only plan on from 3 to 6 per person...just as small dish.
I been alone on Thanksgiving..well not spending it with family since i moved good distance and just too hard. My husband never was one to really enjoy the drama....it got where my father and one brother in law are not allowed to speak politics but after few glasses...of course they do and neither has control.
Yes i think having Hanukkah so early is really going to mess things up for many a family. Out here in the West Coast it is not as big a holiday as on East. Something i have noticed a big cultural difference.
AnneMarie..i am very glad you did not faint in public, especially if you had your children. I did this at the movies...terrifies your kids..and creates general panic and havoc all around!! I am happy you did not but sorry you felt that bad.
Happy Thanksgiving to all and Happy Chanukah too!!
Thank you ! And like wise back to you and yours…Beverly L.
Happy thanksgiving Everyone
e We won't have antipasta today. We don't live to far from Plymouth so we have a traditional meal.
Have a great day
Cindy
Happy Thanksgiving...I have had a quiet day with just my husband and son......no other children or grandchildren this year because my white count / immune system is still very low...having a good day in spite of a swollen face and blister covered upper lip...happy eating and BLESSINGS to all :)
