In America, this Thursday is Thanksgiving. We spend the day thinking about what we are grateful for and also eating a lot of turkey and pie. :)
I thought it would be fun to start a discussion on what we're all thankful for. I'll get it going:
I'm thankful that my wonderful girlfriend, Vanessa, accepted my marriage proposal last weekend. We're all smiles here. :)
I'm also thankful that this community exists and helps so many people. We started Ben's Friends (www.bensfriends.org) 6 years ago and now over 80,000 patients and loved ones visit all 35 sites every month. It's truly a little Internet miracle.
I'm grateful for the community, the friendships and especially thankful that the volunteer moderators donate so much of their time to help others. Thank You Mods!

No flares my doctors my family and friends my job my boss my weight loss my car my house my disability my sneakers (rykas) good for the joints. Ok I’ll stop there I’ve got to get back to the kitchen I’m grateful I can cook and serve my family and friends this year. One more thing its thanksgiving everyday for me
Prednisolone, a year ago my life was unbearable and I was totally housebound with need of full care, since prednisolone I am able to enjoy life again. Also the most amazing family anyone could ask for.

I'm thankful for all the blessings and support, and strength that God continues to send me, and how He hears my prayers.. I am thankful for all the members online that continue to have hope and continue to be there for one another. Every day, when I wake, I am thankful that I have another shot at it.
I'm thankful for my kitty cat, Esther, who is by my side through thick and thin.
I'm thankful for the doctors who are trying to help me heal despite the complexity of my condition.
I'm thankful that I can still manage to take care of myself.
I'm thankful for my nice neighbors and friends that try to understand and not judge.
I'm thankful that I don't have to eat alone today.

HELLO to ALL !! Being Grateful and THANKFUL , wow! I don’t know where to start-smile!!!
The beginning is crazy, so am going to say that I never had or knew that there were so many people around the world who share things of health problems like me at the same time! Also to meet people in places I only thought of to visit, but of course am afraid of heights -so airplanes and boats(ships) are all out of the picture-smile ! Okay ! Being a person with Lupus has REALLY changed my Life SOOOO much, if my doctor had not gave me the results when he did , I really don’t know where I would be at this moment of my Life, seriously! And meeting a lady at his office who told me and others about this site ,I came home that same day and have enjoyed my 3years on Feb.7,2011, with all of you !! A place were I can come and talk without no one saying crazy statements of judging me for saying crazy things. Am very happy of this truly from the bottom of my heart Thanks Family Living with Lupus!!! I know whenever I want to talk or just look at some comments I know am NOT alone at no time of the DAY , which makes me say “Thank you Father for bringing me to these people and them to me!” And that my friends,that is the most of some of the things that I am grateful and thankful for!!! I am thankful and so blessed with an abundance of friends in my life who not only try to understand my health issues but support me in so many ways. This includes my friends here. My friends include my family, my extended family and my husbands extended family.

After an abusive 1st marriage I am thankful that I met a wonderful man who truly loves me for me, and honors the vows we took 12 years ago. For richer or poorer & in sickness & in health we joined our 2 families and added 1 more. I am blessed to have a fantastic husband, 4 daughters & a grand daughter along with the rest of our families.
While money may be tight at times & my illnesses have diminished the quality of life I used to have & it burdens our finances and family - I am thankful that we have a home to shelter us, money to pay the bills, food in the cupboard & a crazy family that loves and supports one another.
