Has anyone had this problem? I do and it's driving me nuts! Any comments are appreciated. Sometimes I wonder if I have MS and Lupus but have been tested (MRIs twice of brain)...Who knows...maybe it is a spinal issue. I have been off this wonderful site for awhile---I was getting too wrapped up in it to get anything else done. I have missed my communication on LIfe with Lupus. LupanCatwoman
Have you been tested for diabetes. That is also a sign.
Lupancatwomen,
I know the frustration well. Numerous women have this problem or an aspect of it. Many reasons can cause it and not necessarily lupus. Perhaps you can get a referral to go to a urologist to get some answers.
My stress incontinence started after menopause. I was on hormone replacement for five years which cut leaking down to barely enough for a panty liner.
I decided to stop HRT because of studies about the dangers. It all came flooding (pun intended) back. I cough, sneeze, bend down, stand up and a little urine comes out which means a b-line to BR. However, I'm not incontinent at night. But, the minute I stand up in the morning, I have to rush to the BR. The name of my game is timing liquids and BR visits and of course wearing a pad. Haven't really done anything about it.
This is so personal. Though I'm very glad you brought it up.
You got to hold on.
I have this problem also, my gp referred me to a uro-gynecologist.
She put me on a medicine called oxybutynin CL ER , which has helped
immensely. You can get the patch which you do not need a prescription for
as it is over the counter. The patch will not have the dry mouth side affect
which is really bad. I will also be having surgery done in January to
have a sling put in to help also. Hope this helps some.
I get glucose testing as a part of my regular labs which is done about every month...also urinalysis..never had a doctor say anything...and it doesn't run in my family....but I will ask again...
