I hope it does also and thank you for sharing it with other member's....wheather it's my IBS but ginger gives me the bile bad, unless it's affecting my sjogren's besides...what a nightmare ah mate. LOL
My daughter has been taking turmeric tincture. I think it is helping. She hates the taste of it... lol but she knows if it's good for her she will do it. Thanks for posting this.
There's an easier way to get it. My sister's pain is controlled by curcumin capsules or pills. Curcumin is the concentrate of the active chemical in turmeric. No taste at all.
Good morning everyone! Sorry I haven't been on in awhile - been busy, busy (guess that's a good thing!) For me, Tumeric helps to "warm the body on the inside" as well as the inflammation! I really only take it during the winter - last year I noticed that I was getting way too hot once the warm weather set in. What I do is mix a healthy 1/2 teaspoon with a healthy pinch of ground cloves with a teaspoon of LOCAL honey (good for allergies - I haven't had to take allergy meds for 2 years now. I have 1 teaspoon every day. Must be local though - doesn't do any good to eat honey from pollens that grow in New York and not in New Mexico!) Warm up a cup of milk - any kind works, whatever you like. I use soymilk. Pour a small amount of the warm milk in to the paste and mix. Then pour in to the rest of the cup and enjoy! This tastes great!
I am very interested in using natural means for healing; however, I am wondering if taking an anti inflammatory..will it be too much? Sometimes we need to begin slowly to see if our body reacts. I am extremely sensitive to foods, spices, and meds. So I would begin with a weaker diluted cup and build up to the full strength if I didn't react. Once I read an article that certain combination of herbs and spices could cause seizures. Anyone familiar with information on this?
i take Prednisone, Plaquenil and sometimes Meloxicam and haven't had any issues but like you said, start with a smaller strength and then build up. I thoroughly drinking it in the morning at breakfast!
Thanks for sharing this, jan. i’m going to look for tumeric when i go to the grocery. Lately, i’ve been feeling some aches on my left arm. I don’t like to take meds anymore. I’d rather try the natural means.

Hi faye. You’re right. Try small amounts first. If you didn’t have any bad reaction to it, try more. It’s better to be safe. Let us know when you do try.

Good morning to you Piper! Do you have a Sprouts/Sunflower where you live? They have it and it's super affordable! I pay about $2 for even the organic Tumeric. You will have best luck finding it at a "Natural Food Store" instead of the WalMarts. Good luck!
I will have to find the natural one, but i think i’m going to have a hard time finding that. I have to find a store that sells organic tumeric.

Good discussion Piper. I buy empty capsules and put various spices in them, depending on what spice I want to help whatever current problem. That way you get more of the spice, but you are not overwhelmed with the taste. I also have just bought them already in the capsule online or in health food stores. Like I said, the curcumin is a great painkiller. It's concentrated turmeric. That's available online too. I really like to buy from www.iherb.com . They ship world wide.
Will check that out, sheila. Thanks for sharing. =)
