We're supposed to get severe weather starting tonight and lasting until tomorrow night. First they were calling for hail, tornadoes, wind damage, etc. Granted, a tornado in the east coast is nothing compared to what they get in the mid-west, but tornadoes scare the daylights out of me. Well, now, on top of that, they're calling for a derecho. Basically, severe thunderstorms are going to move quickly and in a straight line. With how the storms move, we get straight-line wind with a LOT of damage. I just hope the storms don't give me more symptoms. I'm just now coming out of a flare.
Really not looking forward to hauling the dogs (my little one, and my parent's two greyhounds) into the basement if need be.
Be careful and safe and get prepared we have lots of those here in alabama it makes me a nervous wreck, and the dogs too, i have to give them xanex, we are suppose to get a bit tmrw but nothing real bad like you, good luck and stay safe, i will be glad when this is over, i just dont remember this many tornadoes in june, this weather is so unusual, makes you wonder dont it, will be thinking about all yall up there.
We have some bottled water, food, and toilet paper. Somewhere we have flashlight batteries, but I like to use the crank radio/flashlight since it has a channel just for the weather service. All my rain gear and the dog rain gear is sitting out. They won't go out to do their business in the rain unless they're on a walk. The Tor-Con index from the weather channel was originally a 3-4 for tomorrow (Thurs.), but they just changed it to a 5-6. Eek! I wasn't nervous until I saw that number go up. Plus, I'll be home alone tomorrow. :(
Kel, it really does make me wonder with all this unusual weather. We've never had a derecho before, at least not that I can remember. We had one early last summer and now another one coming! And they're saying we're going to have a very active hurricane season. Sheesh.
