SLE and Neuropathy

Geneva21 my Rheumy is in Poway, Dr. Smitha Reddy, she is very good, but the staff is terrible. I will keep Dr Frank Noalan in mind if I want a second opionon or change doctors.

I see Dr. Stacey Schulman at Scripps in Carmel valley. She is very kind and empathetic.

Thank you ranin, I used to go to her years ago and then my insurance changed. Maybe I can go back to her now!

Thanks jon, Poway is so close to me too!

I really appreciate all of you helping me out! Hope you all are doing a little better and have a Happy Thankgiving!

I tend to go with women doctors over men, they seem more empathetic and less arrogant. Maybe Dr Stacey Schulman would be a good choice to. My doctor is talking about doing more naturapathic medicnie, probably frustrated with having to see sick people with no cure...

In addition to Raynaud's, there is Erythromelalgia, which can piggyback on other autoimmune conditions like Lupus and Sjogren's. There is a terrific EM community listed on the Communities List, offering lots of practical coping tips. EM and Raynaud's frequently go hand in hand -- EM is the fire, and Raynaud's the ice. It is helpful to video the experience if you can catch it before working with a doctor, as many doctors may be unfamiliar with either phenomenon.

I see a lot of great rheumatologists recommended on this discussion. Would you kindly add them to the Recommend a Rheumatologist discussion as well? We are hoping to get these recommendations in one place to create a resource list for members.
