Scalp pain

I have a strange question. Does anyone experience intermittent sensitivity on the scalp that makes wearing eye glasses painful?

Yes and I never knew what it was. I am looking forward to responses from people who can explain it. I kind of thought it might be a med reaction.

Do u also have a headache or it is just sensitivity?

Some days my scalp is so sensitive it is painful to brush my hair. I don't wear glasses, but I have a feeling it would prove painful for the legs to touch my head. I don't have an explanation. I just know that my scalp is painful to the touch everyday and that some days it is very, very painful. Oh, one thing that did help. I had acupuncture for a migraine and the needles went in several places on my scalp. After that, I had no scalp pain for almost a week. That is the only time I haven't experienced scalp pain in the past 5 years.

I occasionally get a headache but mainly pain from even light pressure on my scalp

I also have fibromyalgia and my sisters have only fibro. we always have said that the follicles of our hair hurt. My one sister has to keep her legs shaved because the hair hurts her so badly. We blame it on fibro.

I have also had this and I've never been able to figure out what causes it. It's not caused by going too long between washing. I get it either way.

Hi I also have scalp sensitivity and will get tingling sensations on my scalp and will also have pain when I brush my hair. I have also just recently developed pimple like sore on my scalp. Not sure what that is all about. I have my 3 month follow up with the my rheumy tomorrow and will be asking her about it. If I get any helpful information, I will pass it along.

I have this too. I have sensitive skin and can only use dove shampoo, but this is different. I know when I wear glasses, headbands or even some hats my head hurts. It feels like nerve pain to me, but it comes and goes, so I have never thought to mention it to my doctor.

I have ACLE, not systemic, but I have noticed that my scalp hurts. I attributed it to malar rash from the sun, since I can't apply sunscreen to my scalp. When I comb my hair it feels like a garden rake is being dragged across my head. The last week or so has not been too bad, so I'm ok with it. I've just been on Hydroxochloroquine for a few days now, and HOPE to have decent results within a couple months, we'll see.
