seems like i might have already read a post similar to this but i am new and still trying to find out what might be lupus related and what is not. went to the produce/flower shop today and the top of my head was burning and tingling and a numbish feeling-do you guys have that - guess i need to get a hat
I've heard of people getting that feeling on their scalp too. Right now my scalp hurts really bad just to comb my hair, like it's on fire, but I haven't been outside much. I'd wear a hat and see what happens. There are some really cute hats out there too!
nothing cute on me right now, i feel so disgusted, i have never weighed over 110 lbs. or so my whole life, i weighed 99 lbs. when i got married in 1989-i never got over 125 with my children, after birth, right back down to 110-now i have gained over 50 lbs. , i am so disgusted, i have fibromyalgia as well and my joints hurt really bad and i am so stiff it is hard to exercise but i try, it seems like i dont even eat a lot and i still cant get any weight off, i just give up - i have a very sensitive scalp too, when i get a hair cut it kills me when she washes or combs out my hair, lately i have asked her to let me do it, have a good one, thx for your response, i love the pooch pup, looks just like mine, she is a little girl, and i have had her for 17 years, yep, 17, vet says she is about 102 years old, i lost my job and am so happy cause i get to spend every second with her, i pray to st francis every day that she go to heaven and i see her again one day, i have 5 dogs, 1 cat that is 18, a chiwawa that has a brain and spinal cord tumor we are fighting, i am dog poor but i wouldnt have it any other way, oh my goodness i am rambling, i dont ever have anybody to talk too, take care, i hope you have had a very good day

my head is only on fire when its itching....i get hives really bad all over my body...that causes me to scratch with anything i can get my hands on. brushes combs. ANYTHING. and after scratching it burms. its like whelts everywhere. but the stupid itching is literally that bad,
anyhow. PLEASE wear a hat and sunscreen daily :)

That's crazy your dog is 17! I hope mine lives that long. She's my baby. I don't know what I'd do without her.
my scalp feels like i've scratched the dang skin off if I rub it too hard.. I use biotin for my hair and i've seen a big difference when i'm on it and when i'm not.. But that is definitely a symptom, good luck and I hope you get some relief soon
yep, shes my girl, i rescued her 17 years ago, got a cat i rescued 18 years ago and your gonna love this, i have a pet possum named willy, long story but i do wildlife rescue and his mother had gotten ran over by a car and they were just sitting there beside her, one ended up dying because of injuries but i raised 4 of them and 2 went to zoo in b'ham, alabama and willy was so sick i kept him, he is a possum that thinks hes a dog, he was raised with my dogs so they like him but if a wild one gets in my back yard they try and kill it, he comes in and out, he gets bath once or twice a month and uses a litter box, they are alot like cats or monkey, he hangs on to me like a monkey he uses a litter box, when he wants to come in the house he scatches on the back door, yes people think im crazy, i think he great, they only normally live 11/2 years in the wild and he is 4, all his other brothers and sisters have died. they carry no disease not even rabies because their body temp stays so low in the summer he always wants to stay in, we have an bathroom close to pool that is air conditioned so he goes in there in the heat, he is spoiled and it cost a lot of money to feed him, they have a diet high in protein and calcium therefore he has to eat meat and fruits and veggies, he has what we have for dinner, altho, his fav's are grapes and boiled eggs, and we throw a little dog food in there, he is hilarious, i have a dog named pie we are fighting a brain and spinal cord tumor, we just started a new cancer drug that is used on people she has been on it almost 1 month and she is doing really good, molly my old dog is a poodle mix not really sure, i take her to the vet when i feel i need too but also every 2 months to check on her, her heart is good, lungs not so good, she has seizures and congestive heart failure but she still plays and carrys on she is on tramadol and xanex, and prednisone for arthritis, she also takes a pill for her breathing, and i have 3 big dogs, moses is a pit, brandy is a lab/pit mix and jr. is godi only knows what, he is pretty tho, my son found him on the side of the road in a ditch, he was injured took him to the vet right away and his bones on his front legs were cracked, vet said he was not hit by car someone has been kicking him and cracked his bones, so sad, how he is a 100 lb hunk of burnin love, he is so sweet, shepard, rottweiler mix we think he is huge, never dreamed he would get that big, nothing like a good ole mutt and a rescued one at that, yes when molly is gone and cutie the cat im going to be a basket case, they go every where we do (all the little ones) i have doggie car seats in my jeep they go on vacation every year -im gonna need counseling or something, she never has left my side in 17 years. i pray every night for her and all my babies !!

It is a symptom!!!
Well my scalp has been on fire! Itching, burning. My dermatologist told me it was psychological . Ugh!!!
