The trouble with SLE it takes control of every issue of our bodies and that's why we're so messed up because if it's not having a go at one thing it's hitting another.
I get stomach pains out the blue and sometimes severe and then it leaves me alone for days, it's a pure nightmare mate and it's like when i have my B12 Jab i don't feel the boost for long because Lupus eats away at the b12 our stomach tries hard to hold onto.

Hi Deenie,
You know what i'm like checking constantley and sorry to hear you still bad besides other member's suffering from this.
Ladies systemic lupus /SLE just causes this issue out the blue without even a flare active because it's interfering with our stomach's constantley.
I know i suffer with bile alot more with acid off my IBS and the SLE besides the sjogrens being strong is'nt helping me one bit...so i really feel for you where you issues are concerned.

I have horrible nausea and regurgitation from GERD and a hiatal hernia, but it has gotten much worse since I've gotten SLE. My medicines are making me sick and I throw up in the middle of the night...in my mouth....and gag and choke while I'm sleeping.
I'm making an appt. to see my GI doctor ASAP and will ask him about this in relation to SLE. He's been my GI doctor for years.
Ok, I was not going to bring this up, but since we are talking about vomiting, we all know what comes on the other end of the spectrum. I won't be shy, since we are talking about throwing up and weed, I'll say this for those who might read this and are to shy to say anything. This comes out of the blue for me, just like the symptoms you mention. I got so suddenly sick at work, I had to leave. I think it is just lupus being lupus, I stayed home today and I'm feeling a low grade fever, and have a slight headache. On the bright side - I'm 5lbs lighter which proves the point that I am full of it - or was : p
It's a most embarrassing thing. Vomiting is 'acceptable' LOL
I just thought, what they hey, if I have this there might be one other who experiences it also. I stayed home today as well, I just need some rest and the opportunity to do some things around the house that are weighing heavy on my mind.
I also have it on the other end too! That also comes from out of no where! I have been in bed for 24 hours because of the pain in my lower stomach. It is so bad that I get into an infant style position. I visited the ceramic thron 12 times yesterday. I can believe there is that much inside of me! Once I go then the pain will ease for a little while and then it does it all over again.
My gastro has diagnosed me with IBD/IBS or spastic colon. At first we thought it was celiac diease, but I tested out negative for that. I choose to start a gluten free diet and I took myself off of dairy. I increased my water intake and started taking a probiotic once a day and I was doing very very well for about four weeks, until yesterday and it happened again. I cant be far away from a bathroom! between the pain and running to the ceramic thron it is a very debilitating problem for me. Not one of my doctors can explain it either!
I had been doing so well with the stomach issues so i figured i was better untill: I had three glasses of wine on Friday night with my girlfriends and Saturday night I had two pomegrante martinis because my husband took me out for a nice dinner. I had not eaten out in about six to eight weeks. To be quite honest, i beleieve this is all as a result of the alcohol and eating out. However it was a delayed response. I did not puke until Sunday night and then my lower issues started yesterday. I don’t have a fever and I am not in a lot of pain with my joints so I can say this is a flare.
You might be right about the delayed reaction. If you have had gallbladder removal or have a slow metabolism ( anything higher than 1.5) it might be taking your body longer to process intake and delaying reactions to certain foods. I would keep a food diary ( I know its a pain) and look for commonalities. I truly hope you find an answer. Good Luck and God Bless XXOO

Maybe its the excessive MSG that restaurants use to make their food taste better? Just a guess on my part or it could be the alcohol.

Thanks for your post Deenie : ) Its embarrassing, I was at work. I went back today, and found out that they were making fun of me : ( We are supposed to be adults. Makes me more determined to stand up for my rights there.
That's abit childish mate making fun of another adult...i've never heard behaviour like it in all my life...Trisha i never wish harm on no one and especially this lot but for other's to understand they really do need to suffer what we have.
Yes you keep determind mate and issues like this actually cause me to swear bad, as i'm no angel where language is concerned...i'm sure flustration causes it.
Yes it is childish, but that is the mentality of the individuals I work with : (
But God works in mysterious ways, and I talked with one of my friends and noticed she had gloves on and we talked about her cold fingers and toes.... She's also had issues with her knees, and her thyroid. I told her about my illness, and we talked about the Raynauld's. She was very interested in this, and I gave her this website and told her she could read the discussions on here. She asked me for a hug : )
I am pleased you gave her the site and she joins and lets see how she looks t what you go through nd other's...they should'nt condem people until they know what it's fully like nd your right, god does work in mysterious ways and you know the old saying what goes around comes around.
My guy friend that told me - said this other dude was joking about it and my friend told him its not funny she's sick and another friend told the dude he didn't want to hear it either, that I'm sick and to leave me alone. Its nice to know that a few have my back : ) My best friend tried to protect me from it and didn't tell me what she heard cause she was trying to protect me from it, she knew how humiliating it would be for me. Of course I wanted to go to the source - I know who started it - but I didn't. If I had, I would have missed the opportunity to talk with my friend : ) Trisha
nite nite from Australia everyone. As ever great comfort & information on this site. Hope tomorrow is wonderful in some small way for everyone. Ciao for now Kaz
You know that the stomach issues are not a laughing matter! Terri is right, someday they will be sorry! What goes around comes around. I am sorry sweetie!
Life is not fair and then we have lupus!
Sending lots of love your way…Deenie

Well at least you know a large majority are supporting you and not listening to the rubbish and going at your defence instead and chatting with your friend could have helped in more ways than one for you to be asked for an hug...nice also for you to approach that person so it's brought out also.
