Lately, my hormones have been crazy. More sensitive, and pretty much just feel like I’m pmsing all the time! Even when I’m not! lol… I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I’m not really on any meds right now, besides for pain. Cant seem to find anything that has helped me much. I see the doctor in a few weeks again, and will bring it up. But if anyone else is or has experienced this, can you please let me know any info that could helpful? thanks in advance.
Tiffany,
I'm glad you brought this up. I have been more sensitive, and little things will make me cry. Last week I was helping my son with his suit and tie for his senior picture for the year book, and I just cried. Where did 18 years go?? Where is the little boy I was putting on the school bus for the first time? Love ya, Trisha
Hello Tiffany,
So nice to see you back on board mate and sorry that your still in pain but regarding women symptoms....it could mean quite a few issues, being as i've been down that line myself quite a few times besides with gyno's...do you mind expressing more what your suffering so we can help you alot more, as your alot younger than alot of us.
Love Terri xxx
I have been in the same boat lately. I am either ready to cry or pissed at the world!! And believe me I was never a crier before. I actually just went to see gyn because I thought maybe it was hormonal too but turns out its not it is just the beast that now consumes our lives. That is not to say that your hormones may be outta whack. Check with doc. Always better safe than sorry. Just wanted you to know that you are not crazy or alone
Hi Tiffany yes I have experience that also very emotional.I was thinking it was my meds that im taking. But I haven’t ask a doc yet.And your not by urself
If you are flashing from hot to cold a lot, have your Dr check for Hashimotos disease. It comes with Lupus, sometimes. He could give you something for it.
I am also very emotional lately. People just dont understand why, and shun me. I often feel very alone. For instance, I used to be a productive member of a local dog club, but one of the members pretended to be a friend, I opened up when I was very down, and she used what I told her, which was worse sounding when I said it than it really was, to cause the other members of the club to paint me as the blackest person on the planet. Hard to keep friends, or trust anyone with that sort of stuff happening. Anyone else have that happen?
I am so glad that you brought this up. I have been suffering from flashing from hot to cold lately. I did tell my rheumy doctor and GP but no real answer. I am 61 years old and thought it may be menopause or meds. I will check out Hashimotos disease. I think it could have something to do with hormones too. I have had cramps lately which is interesting at my age.
Hello Tiffany,
I do hope members replies are helping you and also my pm to you also...it will be lovely to hear from you when you do have time.
Hugs Terri xxx
Hi Tiffany,
It seems to be affecting many of us and all at different ages. I've had the cold and hot...drives my hubby crazy..but he keep a good sense of humor. And yes the sadness and feeling alone and longing to be out and about as before...and pain. No wonder we are a mess! But I am convinced this is part of our illness and learning to cope is the key....if you've gone all the right roads...and found it is "nothing" that can be found by blood test..etc. Praying you can get the needed answers..and yes, it is so good to have you back. We've missed you!
I have the same thing. I think I'm just worn down due to constant pain and it effects my emotions.
I also have the same experiences, but I can attribute mine to the prednisone. I know when I am taking the steroid it changes my personality considerably. I hope you find something that brings you comfort and controls your emotions. I wish I had more advice, but you might try a vitamin store and see if there is something that they can suggest for mood swings. Best of luck and hang in there.
Thanks for the replies everyone. It does make sense that always being in pain can cause crazy emotions. Especially when I feel like no one understands, and not only that but I don’t want to burden otherswi th my pain! It’s never ending for all of us! Lol
Tiffany,
I am sorry to hear your still in so much pain but as you know we're always here for you and hopefully when you see your rheumo again...some other med can be offered to help you better than the lycria.
All my love to you Terri xxx

Tiffany,
Sorry that you feel so bad, I can relate to hormone fluctuations. But the only way you will know what exactly is happening is to have bloodwork done and also urine testing for the hormone levels.
I suggest a integrative doctor, rather than mainstream, because the mainstream docs dianose from very narrow parameters on the labs and many times miss the diagnosis. Just from my experience.
I know if my hormones are "off" I feel like a nut case. But things can get better in a wink once you get to the root of the problem.
Take care,
Ally
Hello Tiffany,
I just hope all the responses members have mad have helped you in a large way.
Hugs Terri :)
Hi Tiffany89, it's all part of Living with LUPUS !!!! My first year was so crazie !!!!!!!!!!! I was apologizing for everything and anything ! LOL It didn't matter what it was . My family made a joke out of it after awhile , " oh yeah am SORRY !!!" , became a real laughter time after so many times of hearing me say it so much ( but it finally stopped after my phyc doctor put me on my anti-depressants ) , and i stopped saying "SORRY " for everything and we laugh more now because of the saying with great joy . We become so much closer with some good conversations here lately without tenision to arise - It's FUN ! Find the good of the situation and laugh at yourself a couple of times, then just don't worry about it no more- it will correct itself ( if it need be to get corrected , or just ask for some antipills and call it a day - smile )!!!! Over all just don't lose focus of who you are !!! It's just a phase - trust me this to shall pass!!!..... Beverly L.
P.S. Hang in there .....
