Praying! !!
Please let her know we are thinking about her.
I send healing thoughts and prayers to Grace.
Prayers and hugs! So sorry.
Many prayers going up for Grace. I do pay that she’ll be able to communicate again soon.
prayers to grace and her family..
Hi, everyone. I’ve heard from Grace’s daughter and husband. She’s improved in that she can speak a couple of words, but not much more than that at the moment. She was able to play Go Fish with her granddaughter yesterday. She laughed a lot yesterday. Yet, you can imagine how frustrated she must be… And frightened. Today they’re doing a test to get a better look as to what’s causing the speech impairment. It could be vasculitis or similar which would be directly related to her lupus. I’m sorry to be vague. I’m sure you all have a lot of questions. She’s just still in the testing part of recovery. I will keep everyone posted as I learn more. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. She appreciates all of the messages you have all written. Thank you.
Thank you for the update. I will continue to pray for a full recovery!
I will continue to keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.
Good morning. I was just texting with Grace. She can type a couple of words, though sometimes I’m confused by their meaning. I try to ask her yes or no questions. The great news is she’s home. She begins speech therapy Tuesday. Her daughter and husband are with her. She’s very happy to be home. They ran a lot of tests and she definitely had a stroke. But, I can tell she’s improved over the last few days. Her family wrote me saying the prayers coming from all of you here on the site means the world to her. She’s very grateful for your care and concern. I’m thrilled that she’s improving, but it will likely be a long haul to regain her speech. She knows what she wants to say but the words won’t come out, or they come out wrong. She seems in good spirits nonetheless. Thank you for all of your responses on Grace’s behalf. I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks for keeping us all up to date grace has a really good friend in you. I will continue to keep a good thoughts for grace and her family.
Wonderful news!
Prayers!
Good morning, friends. Good news! I’ve been communicating a little with Grace and more with her daughter and husband. She is improving every day! Last night she went out to dinner to celebrate her progress. She continues to struggle getting her words out, and typing is difficult and tiresome, but she’s in good spirits and, like I said, improving daily! She’s so delighted and touched by all of your posts of support and prayers. Today she’ll be attending family events. I couldn’t be more happy for her and her progress. Please continue to keep Grace in your prayers. I can’t tell you how much she appreciates it! Please know she will be in touch when she’s able. Thank you, everyone!
I hope she will continue to improve! Tell her" :YOU GO GIRL!!!"
I sure will!!
Good morning, everyone. Grace is improving remarkably every day. This morning I woke to a full paragraph message from her! That’s a long way from the yes and no answers she could only give a week ago. She’s transposing words at times or using incorrect words on occasion, but I have no difficulty understanding what she means. She has her first speech therapy appointment today and she’s looking forward to it. I can’t wait to hear how it goes. Thank you all, again, for all of your prayers and well wishes for Grace.
Prayers are still coming. Thanks Kim for all of your updates.
Glad to hear grace is doing so much better. Will continue to keep good thoughts for her and family.
Hi, everyone. Grace had her second speech therapy appointment today. She likes her therapist. She’s making great strides. Again, your thoughts and prayers mean the world to her. She’s up and about and able to enjoy things. I hope she’ll soon be able to be in touch with you directly. Please continue to keep Grace in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
