As some of you know my Mama is very sick right now and fighting throat cancer. While visiting her the other day we were talking about my Granny and her favorite saying "How do you eat an Elephant..One bite at a time" Sometimes it is so easy to become overwhelmed and to feel helpless or hopeless dealing with any chronic disease so this is my wish for all of us...One bite at a time. My daughter is 17, and she will bring up things her Grandma used to do for her, and it is so sweet to see how my daughter has changed from self-centered to a beautiful, caring young woman. God works in our lives, One day - or one bite at a time.

Thank you. Mama is doing very well. She is doing Iv chemo and radiation. The doctors said if the tumors shrink enough they can take them out through her throat without an incision! Yay! Your daughter sounds absolutely lovely, isnt it wonderful to watch a child mature and become this amazing person? I am sure as a teenager I gave Mama most of her white hair. I was a bit of a wild one. lol
