Maybe someone could help me with this. Just when you think that your symptoms are under control something new pops up. I have been dealing with 6 months of polyneuropathy in my right hand and both feet. Have had pulse steroids and IVIG with no relief. This morning I noticed a numb feeling in my lower lip and within an hour the left side of my face became numb. No issues with movement, just sensory.I was scheduled to begin my first dose of cellcept today and was concerned about the potential side effects. The numb face changed my thoughts on that and I was less reluctant to begin this new med. Has anyone had similar symptoms? What's up with this?
Yep- my face would get numb too- associated with migraines - my migraines were actually CNS lupus- when the lupus finally got under control the headaches and episodes of numbness also went away I also had other neuropathies in feet and hands which died down with the proper treatment
So I guess I'm on track with the cellcept. It should calm down the immune system. I'm not banking on the sensation in my feet coming back as this has been going on for 6 months now. How long did the neuropathy last in your feet. It sure would be nice to know if this is going to be a forever thing as I'm having a great deal of difficuly walking and am looking at disability now.
I have always had numbness and tingling throughout body. The left side of face would tingle and tip of nose would go numb. So strange. Would live to know what anyone has taken for neuropathy on hands and feet. Im on gabapentim and cymbalta. Helps the pain but doesn’t really “cure” the neuropathy. Please tell me what lupus meds actually calm down the neuropathy. Good luck.
IT STARTED YRS AGO,I WOKE UP ONE MORNING FEELING STRANGE AND REALLY DIDNT WANT TO SAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE,SIMPLY BECAUSE I HAD SO MANY THINGS GOING WRONG WITH MY BODY I CHOOSE TO TRY AND KEEP IT TO MYSELF,,'MY MO'..MY HUSBAND IS A FULL TIME FIREFIGHTER/EMT,HIS JOB FOR 30 YRS,I DONT KNOW WHY I THOUGHT I COULD FOOL HIM."MY BAD"..ANYWAY,"I WENT TO DRINK MY COFFEE AND IT RAN OUT OF MY MOUTH,.I WENT TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND THE LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE WAS DROOPING,"NOT A LITTLE BIT" I COULD NOT HIDE THIS,MY HUSBAND THOUGHT I HAD A STROKE..IT TURNED OUT TO BE BELLS PALSEY..I HAVE HAD IT 3XS NOW,TWICE ON THE LEFT SIDE AND ONE TIME ON THE RIGHT SIDE..MY FACE HAS NEVR REALLY GOT BETTER ON THE RIGHT,IT DOESNT DROOP ANY MORE,BUT MY RIGHT TEMPLE IS NUMB OR TINGLEING ALL THE TIME..SO WEIRD..I DONT HAVE PAIN WITH IT.."IT JUST BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME,AND ITS A LITTLE SCARY AS WELL..GOOD LUCK FRIEND I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON..CELESTE
