Members: Opportunity to Advance Lupus Research through Sanguine, a Ben's Friends partner

Members, please read below. From time to time, Ben's Friends learns of opportunities that may aid in research efforts and may help develop new treatments for members on our communities. We may occasionally present these opportunities to the forum, particularly if they come from companies that have supported Ben's Friends. Members are free to participate or not, as you choose. We are working with Sanguine, a provider of at-home clinical research services, to help accelerate medical research for lupus. In less than an hour, you can donate blood to advance lupus research and receive $50 for your participation.

If you are over the age of 18, have been diagnosed with lupus, and live within 100 miles of the cities outlined below, you may qualify to donate a sample of blood from the comfort of your home with Sanguine. Each time you donate, Sanguine will give you $50 for your time and donate $25 to the charity of your choice.

That sure sounds likeva great way to become involved with the ongoing care for lupus. I have been afraid to give my blood these days, for fear that my fibro might be carried in the blood and contaminate it, thereby affecting the recipient. If I knew for sure about having lupus, I'd gladly give blood to help find help or a cure. I applaud anyone out there who has participated in this program.
