Help Us Solve the Cruel Mystery™. This Lupus Awareness Month, join the Lupus Foundation of America in efforts to raise the understanding of lupus and secure support for expanded medical research.

Join us in signing a petition to Congress asking for their support in funding lupus research.

Without sufficient funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other federal agencies, research studies to find the causes of lupus and the discovery of safe, tolerable, and effective lupus treatments will be delayed, and the search for a cure will be seriously impaired.

We have many activities taking place nationwide throughout the month of May to raise awareness of lupus, and encourage others to do the same.

Important dates include:
May 10: World Lupus Day
May 17: Put on Purple
May 18 - 19: Lupus Awareness Faith-Based Weekend

You can also plan your own awareness event, and be featured on our as an Awareness Champion.

I am new here and just had been diagnose with Lupus on April 23, 2013 so I am learning all about Lupus disease as much as I can. Right now I have a flare up of Lupus but have an appointment to see an Rhemotologist on June 5,2013 at 2:00 Pm. Good to see there is support out there.

Thank you JC, living with Lupus disease comes with making a lot of changes in your life. I still in denial. Surprised hearing the results of my tests I had to have done. Really happy that I found a support website to support me through this.

We are walking in the Tampa "Walk to End Lupus Now". My fiance set up our team called Shelly's Angels. We raised $856 and are so proud. Hopefully, I will be able to complete the walk.
