I have always been told that I have fibroids so when the fatigue and pain that goes deep in my bones comes round I think fibrous. Since being diagnosed for a few months now and listening to all of you, I now wonder if it is lupus, especially since each episode gets a bit worse.
Has a pain centre helped anyone with these flares?
My lupus, Nephritis, and Fibro can hit anywhere at any time. I did notice that when I went away last weekend which involved a short plane ride and then a 5 hour car ride, I developed a new symptom...severe pain in my shins. Felt as if in was then bones itself.
I am severely anemic and will be getting infusions, which if I recall, worked quite well last time. I was also low on potassium which these infusions helped immensely. I take 3 different supplements, iron, potassium and vitamin c.
My thought is that you are low on an essential vitamin or mineral. However, I am not a doctor and I would certainly speak with my doc.
Big hugs and good health,
DeAnne
Yes I am on vitamin d. My Dr is always keeping track of bit, mineral, and thyroid levels.
Ann A,
Yes, my doc stopped the prescription vitamin D, however I do take a daily multi as well as a vit D supplement. My vit D levels are good, but I do keep an eye on it as well as eat foods high in vitamins. Now that my kidneys are not spilling protein, my vitamins are staying in my body which means I am not spilling vit D as well as other nutrients.
Thanks for the concern,
Hugs,
DeAnne

Dear DeAnne,
I remember you saying that your physician had prescribed supplemental vitamin D. Has your supplementation with vitamin D been stopped by your physician?

Ditto on the Vitamin D thing...It helped a lot. The Fibromyalgia makes it feel like my bones hurt, the swelling from the lupus likes to just add that extra little punch...and sometimes nothing seems to help.
I have posted this a few times this week. Heating blanket....I wrap myself up like a burrito when I am hurting, and it does so much good for me.
Also, My husband will rub my the sore spots a couple times a week for me. It helps with the circulation and I find quite a bit of relief from it
