Like it or lump it

my younger brother, Kelvin, took us at our word: I remember one morning: Mom told Kelvin to help Robert (youngest brother) to finish his breakfast and get ready for school.--- doing exactly as he'd been told, Kelvin gobbled up Robert's breakfast as fast as he could.

or like the time he got so upset because he was given the choice to "like it or lump it"

He was understandably angry because whoever it was that gave the like it or lump it ultimatum did not follow through with the lumping of it, which was what he clearly wanted bc liking it (whatever it was ) was clearly out of the question.

poor guy. i love him.

well, now it is my turn... to lump it.

Doc called with that phone call no one ever wants to get:" we saw something on your mammogram and want you to come in for further testing"

I am not jumping to conclusions bc i know these things can turn out to be nothing, and I do feel a lump...but I also feel lumps in the back of my head---all along the occipital region...which might explain the weird color show I get when I wake up and open my eyes...

but a lump does not always mean cancer ...right? I mean...seriously, a person absolutely cannot be told she has congestive heart failure one week and then get a phone call about a lump in her breasts the very next week---that is insane.

but what to do?

like it or lump it, it is what ever it is.

either way, i'm so glad i am here in the sweet ole world, even though sometimes the obstacles we all have to deal with seem unfair. But Life says, "Like it or lump it."

Now this new challenge: the lumps.

If I choose to "like it" (it being my life) will the other go away?

Hi Janice,

My god mate you've got it coming from all angles but try not to look on the black side of things because concerning your head it could be Lymph nodes you have and also concerning your breast because these do occur alot with Lupus sufferers.

Years back i was told by a nurse i had a lump in my left breast, then the GP confirmed it and i would'nt go no where for 5yrs and worried myself still...when i met ste and told him he pushed for me to be refered and i saw a cancer specialist who had my chest scanned and it was'nt cancer but a fatty Lump instead.

Try and keep optimistic although it's hard and my blessings are with you for a good out come in results.

((All my love to you dearest friend)) Terri xxx

God bless you! big hugs

you are soooo right, and i really dont feel worried right now...each day has enough trouble of it's own:

matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Janice, i 've got to the stage in life now after years of one thing or another constantly on...where if something arises i just go and get it sorted and like you say each day does have enough troubles of it's own, if it's not us it could be someone close to us, as you know we never know what's around the corner.

I think this suits Matthew 6:34

Janice,

I sincerely hope that your lump turns out to be something very benign. I will continue to pray.

Hi Janice,

Best of luck with today and please update we all on your results please.

(Love & prays your way) xxx

Oh my! You are just an amazing strength with all the issues you’ve had.

My mother recently had “something” show up in her mammogram. We were all very worried. She went for further testing and it was just a cyst that was shaped weird. It was very stressful and no one would tell us anything so we were thinking the worst. Stay positive and in answer to your question… She was told that most “lumps” were benign, but when they find one they have to rule out the big C. I’ll keep all of my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Roni,

I was told years ago i had a lump in my left breast and worried for 5yrs before finally sorting it out and seeing a cancer specialist...turned out to be a lumpy breast i suffered with.
