Life

So life is not getting easier at all. I spent pretty much all of Friday in the ER. I was in so much pain it wasn’t funny. They tried to give me some meds I’m known to be allergic to (go figure, just give some simple pain meds and say have a good day). My knees have been killing me for a few weeks now, Friday they started to feel like they were going to just give out on me. They ran a bunch of blood work in the ER, the usual suspects plus a rheumatoid factor and glucose tests. Nothing came back “remarkably off”. They refused to give me numbers and details. I made a phone call to a nurse I know, and she requested the records from Friday with some excuse that worked. We looked over it and the ANA was listed as “indeterminable” (I would think that would be remarkable), and a bunch of other numbers were out of the normal ranges. I don’t get why I was told nothing was remarkable with half the numbers out of normal? I mentioned to the ER doc as well that a week before my glucose was in the low 40s, so I should technically have been about to pass out. Fortunately that day I was at work with a coworker who is a retired fire fighter and helped me get my glucose back up fast. I’m just baffled how no doctor can make a firm decision on anything going on…

Jason,

Do you have a GP or internist that you follow up with and they can get a look at your records? Are you hypoglycemic? Sounds like you need to follow up with your own doctor after all you went through this weekend. This just adds more frustration that you don't need. Please keep us informed how you are doing, and my prayers are with you.

Trisha

Hello Jason,

I am sorry to hear that your going through such alot and friday sounded like a total nightmare for you and it was goodof the nurse to get your results...when your bloods was showing issues they should have still took you more serious and given you something proper to help.

I totally agree with Trisha see your GP to start with and see how it goes from there and if you get no satisfaction sort out an appointment to see a rheumo asap because i know how you feel with the knees i et bad pain in mine besides swelling and the buckle feeling is terrible my hubby saysit makes me look like i'm drunk as it makes your legs wobble and go weak.

Please see someone as i take painkillers and they don't help the situation 100%

Best of luck Terri and please update we on how things go. :)
