My husband just got me a new Dalmatian puppy he’s going to train to be my new service dog…I lost my female Dalmatian last year, she was 17 years old.I forgot how much work a new puppy really is…but he is oh so cute…I named him gunner…as soon as I figure out all the things my new iPad does I will post a picture…Celeste
Celeste - What will your dog be trained to do?
Well Lynn that is the same question I asked my husband,he said he could teach this dog to do all kinds of great things!!"I laughed at him…he said"look at all the tricks I taught our other dogs to do…my husband is a fireman/emt and has a passion for Dalmatians…we have owned 3 and he taught them to stop drop and roll and high 5 and all kinds of tricks,They are very smart dogs…our female we lost last year, she new I was sick…she new when my blood sugar was bad,Im also diabetic…I guess time will tell…Right now the only thing the dog does is rip my house apart!!..and I’m not amused…I really wasn’t ready for a new dog…Im having a bad winter…it’s so wet and cold in Oregon this time of year…but he is super cute…
My dog will do all kinds of things but ONLY IF she thinks there is a good food treat waiting for her!!!

Tell you what, how about we start a group on PETS and meet there? There's just so much we can share with each other: photos, pet care, birthdays (?), training resources, etc.

I have two pets. One is (Um, sorry Tommy) not really useful as a companion but the other is wonderful and very very people oriented (a little too much at times). The companion is a samoyed - a white furry dog that unfortunately pulls too much for me to walk (and my family just won't do it most of the time). One has to excuse it so much as she is a Siberian sled dog. She loves to jump about 6 feet high at the corner of the fence (to greet the neighbor's dogs) and on the sliding glass door (to let us know how desperately she wants in). The most common comment about her is "Whoa!!! Did you see that?". Let's see if this works...<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=451581782393" width="320" height="240" frameborder="0"></iframe>. Maybe not.... I attached a photo of her and a video of her and the tortoise (that's Tommy). The biggest issue with the dog really is that she makes a lot of extra work for me including letting her in and out and sweeping up after the fur and figuring out how to step over such a big friendly dog!
My special guy, Nickey.

Sweet Jake passed last year at 16. She was a good old dog. Yes, Jake was a girl.

Hi, those are some beautiful puppies!!!! Am a dog lover myself ,(but 2years ago -christmas, the family pet ,Eve , became very sick and we ,as a family just could not put her down, -we had her about 20 years , which the vet told us she was at the max for dog life of her breed . All my life i've had a pet dog and theses last 2 years have been lonely !!!! We raised her from a 3-4 week old pup. It was very hard on my mother whom the dog basically stayed around and followed around the house as she got older . But to those that have pets ,Take care of them as they are people with in the family -because they are !!!! smile well hope that everyone enjoy this and dont 4get to LOVE your PET!!!! ....Beverly L.
Hi, that is a beautiful cat !!! Even though am a dog lover -she is pretty !!!! Hay kitty!kitty!!...Beverly L.
Give her LOVE all the time... take care
she is, isn't she? i also like dogs, but i live in a studio unit so a dog won't have much space to play around and exercise. =)
