I have read lot about LDN(Low dose Naltrexone) for many auto-immune diseases, including Lupus. Have anyone of members had taken it? can we get more info on this.

597-LDNInformationPack1.pdf (943 KB)Hello Karthik,
I've never taken Low dose Naltrexone LDN also known as (Depade) for Lupus but if members have taken it, they'll answer in due course.
I've been looking at the drug and it's on trial but seems to help alot of autoimmune diseases related with Lupus but there again it's still a drug that really needs to be observed more. :)

Certain medications can't be taken with this drug...most likely through counter reaction.

This link is on what science have made of the drug also.

I have started administering LDN to my wife. My physician gave approval after a long hesitation.
She is taking it for the past 4 weeks. We started with 1 mg per day and gradually increased it to 3mg. She would take the prescribed dose of 4.5 mg by this month end. I shall update then.
She also takes the standard medications for Lupus:
1.Anti malarial ("HIKEM")
2.Predisone ( 1/4 of a tablet a day).
3.Immuno Modulator("IMMUGEN")
4.Omega 3 Supplement( "EICOSA")
5.Calcium Supplement("CALORICH")
Let me revert then.
