Just an idea for sharing

I am beginning to see a pattern between many of us that suffer (yes, that is the most appropriate word) through this terrible and unpredictable disease. Many of us suffer depression, money issues, inability to cope with day to day issues. What I was wondering is if there is a way for us to help each other out? I am a former teacher. I would be happy to help someone's child with some tutoring if it's needed. Many of us had or have skills that are not being used because of our physical and mental limitations. I don't believe that many of us could handle the cost of many things that we would like to have access to, i.e. tax assistance, real estate advice, etc. I also have many home items I no longer use or need that someone else may be able to use. I know that this is probably a silly idea but I would love to be able to help someone...not just for them but for me as well. It's difficult to feel as if I have no use anymore.

Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.

Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to All

Wow!

Does the Wow mean that there may be others interested? I know I would love to be able to help in any way possible. I hope this catches on, but won't be too disappointed if it doesn't only because we have so much on our plates already. My offer is open to anyone. Merry Christmas or Happy holidays (can't spell the other holidays, lol). I wish to do as much as possible to help others while I still can.

Best wishes to all,

DeAnne

DeAnne,

I hear your heart. I too am a former teacher and a pastor's wife. With my love for music, I used to give free piano lessons to adults who wanted to learn. However, my hands are now crippled with arthritis. I would gladly give my time to talk to those hurting. Helping others seem to momentarily make me forget my pain. And I am amazed how many times "normal" people don't have time to give to those hurting. Thankfully my heart is still beating, and my brain and mouth still work! I'll give what I can.

Merry Christmas to all and a blessed New Year.

Faye

Thank you for replying, Faye.

My biggest obstacle when learning the piano was learning how to read music. Perhaps that is something you could help with, or something else like assisting with music for a school pageant. You have a gift...we all have things that we can share with others, we just have to find a way to do so within our limitations. Regardless, your openness to the idea is heartening. Bless you and your family this holiday season.

Hugs and love,

DeAnne
