I’m a new lupus patients. For the last couple of days
, my jaws/c heeks has been aching… Is this a common lupus symptom?
I am not sure. However, I do have TMJ. The first time I tried to wear my night guard (after my diagnosis), I could not open my mouth.
I Googled SLE symptoms and it says; you can get ulcers in your mouth:-$… I have to ask my rheumatologist about it when I go back next Thursday.
Hi tjmckay,
Lupus can cause joint pain anywhere in the body and the jaw also counts but i would see your rheumo about being sent to ENT and being x-rayed for TMJ Disease which i also have and a good many members and A1 Diseases can cause it.
This link below explains about TMJ Disease :)
