ITP and IVIG

Hi all, It has been a while now since I was last here, but now I am back in communication with the wider world.
The saga with low platelets continues.
I had an IV Immunoglobulin at the beginning of November in order to try and lift my platelets from the mid teens, so I could get overdue dental work done and a few other hospital procedures. However this was unsuccessful for lifting platelets and has left me battling Aseptic meningitis. I have a Bone Marrow Biopsy next week to try and get to the bottom of why this didn't work. Since then my GP ran tests and found that I am B12 deficient. Has anyone had this reaction to IVIG, How long did it take you to recover from the Aseptic Meningitis, and is anyone else out there vitamin B-12 deficient?
So many questions...

I have igg immunoglobulin deficiency. I have to do 50 ml of hizentra sub-q once a week . IVIG or subq immunoglobulin replacement is a very long term to forever treatment. If you’ve only done it once i wouldn’t except your numbers to shoot up immediately. It took 4 months of weekly doses to go from ig levels in the low 400s too low thousands. Im so sorry about your serious infection/ meningitis. I have no idea how that is treated but i would think youd need some sort of heavy duty longterm antibiotics with the IVIG.

Thanks for your input, it gives me a little to discuss with my Haematologist next week. I have an appointment with the Rheumy tomorrow o bring him up to speed on the last 3 to 4 weeks. A lot has happened in this small space of time.
