Update on my daughter! We saw new PCP today and she spent 2 hours with us! She expressed concern over many things and ran several labs. Urine creatinine levels elevated and 12 lb weight gain in 8 days. Glucose levels good. Thyroid results will be in Monday. Her Awesome nurse called so many specialists until she got us in with someone quickly! We see urologist next week, pediatric rhuemy the next week then pediatric neurologist the week after that! Talk about results! And the neatest thing is that her lab technician has had lupus for the last 10 years! I'm excited!

Dang. I HATE docs who think they know everything. I'd report him too. Ugh. I went to a doc last yr, before I knew I had an auto immune disease, with my back killing me. The doc literally came up from behind me, literally smacked me on the back, I screamed in pain and began crying. He said "Sheesh, I didn't even hit you that hard." I tried to tell the nurse, but she was flustered and well, dumb. Needless to say, never went back, and he ended up paying for it in the long run. Hehe. Karma does work sometimes. :) Good luck with everything! This crap sucks, and is uber painful.... can't imagine it starting 13yrs ago at 15. :( #hugs
I recently had a doc accuse me of "drinking" because my liver tests were so out of whack....jerk just met me and wouldn't listen to my medical history of SLE and side effects of the toxic meds I've been on for 10 years!

PCP is fired! He wants her to cowboy up, let this insensitive jerk know that she is great at castrating a calf, and larger animals too.
Seriously though, fire the jerk and move to a more caring doc. At her age, the criticism will set her up to give up if your not careful.
