Have you tried to reach your doctor? Have you fallen or could have twisted your knee? If the pain continues you may want to go to the er or clinic and let them check it. I hope you are feeling better now.

Thank you I ended up in a+e..no infection, thank goodness so just painkillers and rest:)
Thanks for replying x

So glad you got the painkillers you needed. We tend to need those a lot as we handle this disease. Pain seems to move around our bodies from day to day or even hour by hour without a specific reason. You will probably need to keep those on hand for this “breakthrough” pain that happens to us all too frequently. I’ve been handling this disease since age 7. I was diagnosed around age 25 and I’m 51 now. #Lupus won’t stop me completely. I worked full time for 30 years and now am disabled. You keep fighting on strong! Sending hugs to help.

hi you need something alot stronger than tramadol, my rheumy gives me oxycodone,,ash your doctor for some........purrs..catspaw1955

When it gets to be this bad you need to have the Rheumatologist give you a steroid injection with lidocaine. Also sometimes icing the joint is better that heat to bring down the swelling inside for comfort

Prednisone deff… epsom salt bath… water curcumin fish oil no dairy or bread or sugar for the time being may god heal u in the name of Jesus!

Hi ! Sorry that u r that you are having this issue. Don’t fight the FLARE , EASY to say than to do , we’ll I still have issue 4yrs., later. Relax and dont stress ( that’s what makes it worse n have you at the point of how u r feeling now)! Also the more you pay attention to the PAIN , the longer it Stay. Yes , it does -lol. . Lupus is such a mind thing n we /you can somewhat control SOME of he Flares. I did say SOME-smile . Prayers go out to you…Beverly L.

I was going to recommend an Epsom salt bath. I take lots of them!

Call your rheumy, and go to Urgent Care if it’s intolerable. Sorry…

Sometimes the pain we feel is so invasive its next to impossible to get relief. I am glad you went to9 the er and they were able to offer you some pain management. If the problem persist I would try acupuncture that has helped me tremendously. Good Luck. God Bless. Julie

Agree - if the pain is from inflammation, icing it helps (me) much more than heat.

I'm sorry to have no more to offer but am pretty new here. I hope you are feeling somewhat better! I'm a fibro gal with maybe lupus and it amazes me that there actually IS some form of relief for your pain. Thank God!

Sleep well.
